I read this in the novel Shantaram and thought it was fitting for an ethical debate. The use of the word "value" here is even important. Because, yes, money does have monetary value no matter how you earn it. But the bigger idea is about value for the individual person. If I earn my money through crooked dealings and use that money to buy a big house and car, what value do those tangible things have now?
